D'banj Gets Four World Music Award Nominations

Nigerian superstar, D’Banj scored a whopping four 2012 World Music Award Nominations–the highest number by any Nigerian artist or act. The Koko Master is also billed to perform at the glamorous event to be hosted in the city of Miami, FL. USA at the Marlins Park Stadium on Thursday December 20.

He’s nominated for Best African Act, Best Music Video, Best Song of the Year, and Best World Artist all for his hit song, “Oliver Twist.”

Rihanna leads the pack with 8 Nominations at this years WMAs! The categories are: World’s Best Song (Oliver Twist), World’s Best Male Artist, World’s Best Video (Oliver Twist), Best African Act.

The World Music Awards is an international awards show founded in 1989 that annually honors recording artists based on worldwide sales figures provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
