Keri Hilson flew into the country at about 5:20pm on Friday (Nigerian time) with her entourage of about 15; body guards, aides, back - up dancers and singers and the first thing she asks for is jollof rice. One would say it was a good start, being that she craved for belonging or whatever. The bottom - line is, she was excited to be in Nigeria.
She came as a guest star for the Face of Sofa (with Keri Hilson in concert) event, which held this weekend (Saturday) at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event was also to feature Nigerian acts including, DJ Jimmy Jatt, W4, Omawunmi, Tonto Dikeh among others.
Despite the hype and ads, the show was a huge failure as the turn - out was extremely poor. The singer was spotted performing for an 'empty hall' with less than 100 people. Her promoters considered this a big disappointment and a very rude shock to Keri Hilson.
It's either she doesn't have fans amongst the residents of Abuja or simply that her promoters and the organizers of the show didn't do well on their own part in promoting the event and the singer's arrival. Or what do you think?
